Hi,
I am not calling it a bug maybe a weird behaviour...why is Sentinel not running in the systray? No matter what I did. It was impossible to get it there.
Any ideas?
Thanks |

Welcome to the forum MacPeter!
Sentinel is not designed as a windows service and will not monitor file changes in realtime. Rather, Sentinel comes with two features that will allow you to get the benefits of an on-demand scanner and a service.
You can enable the "Auto-Load at Startup" option and select the files you want to monitor below, you can enable Sentinel to run on startup and perform multiple checks. The screenshot below shows the options I would recommend:
The second thing you can do is add the "Secure Shut Down" shortcut to your desktop as an alternative to Windows' Shut Down method. To add the shortcut to your desktop, click on the "Secure/Scan Shortcut" button in the options window:
Enabling and using these two features will keep your computer secure while not bogging down system resources during regular computer usage.
