In order to get Trend Micro to work with Sentinel, you will need to follow the following instructions (make sure you are running Sentinel version 2.1.21):

Note that Trend Micro has very limited compatibility with Sentinel. It is critical that all steps are followed as specified. In addition, it seems that Trend Micro will scan no more than 10 files at a time - these directions will help you setup these feature in Sentinel correctly however we found that system instability may occur if Trend Micro attempt to scan large amount of files from Sentinel (IE: 100+).

1) Download the command-line Trend Micro tool from here (note: save it to a folder on your desktop): http://kb.trendmicro.com/solutions/solutionDetail.asp?solutionID=17058

2) Double click on sysclean.com - it will display an error stating that it cannot find the pattern file - DO NOT CLICK "OK" YET
3) Move the error window out of the way, and COPY the following files to your main Trend Micro installation folder (if you are asked to overwrite a particular file, say NO):
- vsapi32.dll
- vscantm.bin
- tsc.bin
- tsc.ini
- tsc.ptn

4) Click "OK" on the error dialog and then start Sentinel

5) Goto Options, Edit Settings, then "Click here to setup your anti virus program"

6) Choose the vscantm.bin file (select All Files *.* from the file open dialog box)

7) Type the following into the command line arguments box below the vscantm.bin program location:
/NBPM /P=%PATH%

Where %PATH% is the location on your drive of the vscantm.bin file.

8 ) Save settings

9) Open the Sentinel.dat file with Notepad (Sentinel.dat is located in your Program Files\Runtimeware.com\Sentinel\Data folder)

Code:

Edit settings so that they are the same as the following:
[Sentinel]
advanced=65536,10,0
antivirus2=0,1,1
